Totally Seventies

Recently, I went into work and got a phone call from a lady asking if we had any parachute pants. You know the ones that are tight at the waist, poof out, and then super tight at the ankles? Pretty much they look like genie pants. These pants come from the eighties era. Then the next day I go into work, and i was shocked to see that many of our new stock items were from the seventies era. We were just getting calls about parachute pants! Anyways, we have the lovely variety of bell bottoms, furry vests, and hippie clothes. Now, I personally am still hesitant about this style coming back because I am more of an eighties fan, but I do like the whole feathery look; that is from the seventies. But, with being an eighties fan, it is so easy to pick out a pair of skinny jeans, and an over the shoulder top, and look cute. That’s where my expertise comes in.
Since the seventies are coming back into style, I figured that it should be my focus for today. When I think of the seventies, I think hippie; that’s where I got my motivation for the perfect seventies outfit. For this look, I went all hippie on you guys; from the frilly shirts and vests, to the bell bottoms. A “frilly shirt” is the type of shirt that is like a normal t-shirt on top, but stringy on the bottom; very seventies. It is best to put a frilly shirt and a vest together, so that is what I did. For bottoms, you’re going to want bell bottoms; sadly as it sounds, but that is what’s in. Then to pull the whole outfit together, add some color with feather earrings, and of course shoes. Now, you are probably wondering, “How am I going to pull this look off?” Some of you may know exactly what to do, but those of you that don't, try it out. Maybe seventies is your calling!

Layer It!

You were smokin’ hot during the summer, why not be smokin’ hot during the winter? Who better to keep you up to date on fashion than me? I’ve got experience with style, considering I work in a clothing store. In the summer, your main goal is to dress to impress and stay cool in the steaming hot weather. Well, as we all know, winter is creeping its way into the picture and you are going to need a wardrobe that will keep you warm and make you look good. The best way to dress for colder weather is to layer, layer, layer! Now layering doesn't mean you have to look like an Eskimo, but simply just wearing more than shorts, flip flops, and a tank top. Obviously, you’ll be freezing if your wearing that in 50 degree weather.
For today, I would like to focus on the fall season. Like I said before, it’s getting colder outside and you’re going to need to wear more than one layer. The perfect way to do this is pick out a pair of jeans, a simple shirt and a cardigan or a blazer with a few accessories. For example, pick out a dark wash skinny jean, dark always looks good. Then, pick out either a plain colored shirt or maybe something with a little design to it. For accessories, you can choose to add a necklace, a scarf, and a bracelet, or something else that might spice up your look. The cardigan or blazer is simply to keep you warm, and make the outfit less simple. For shoes, if you want to be simple, go for a boot. If you want to add a little attitude to the outfit, I would suggest a bootie. If you don’t know what a bootie is, it’s pretty much a boot with a heel. The picture below is an example of an outfit like this, maybe it is your style, maybe not, but try it out and tell me how you feel!
