Layer It!

You were smokin’ hot during the summer, why not be smokin’ hot during the winter? Who better to keep you up to date on fashion than me? I’ve got experience with style, considering I work in a clothing store. In the summer, your main goal is to dress to impress and stay cool in the steaming hot weather. Well, as we all know, winter is creeping its way into the picture and you are going to need a wardrobe that will keep you warm and make you look good. The best way to dress for colder weather is to layer, layer, layer! Now layering doesn't mean you have to look like an Eskimo, but simply just wearing more than shorts, flip flops, and a tank top. Obviously, you’ll be freezing if your wearing that in 50 degree weather.
For today, I would like to focus on the fall season. Like I said before, it’s getting colder outside and you’re going to need to wear more than one layer. The perfect way to do this is pick out a pair of jeans, a simple shirt and a cardigan or a blazer with a few accessories. For example, pick out a dark wash skinny jean, dark always looks good. Then, pick out either a plain colored shirt or maybe something with a little design to it. For accessories, you can choose to add a necklace, a scarf, and a bracelet, or something else that might spice up your look. The cardigan or blazer is simply to keep you warm, and make the outfit less simple. For shoes, if you want to be simple, go for a boot. If you want to add a little attitude to the outfit, I would suggest a bootie. If you don’t know what a bootie is, it’s pretty much a boot with a heel. The picture below is an example of an outfit like this, maybe it is your style, maybe not, but try it out and tell me how you feel!

  1. Reading your post made me want to go shopping for fall and winter clothes! Shopping is my favorite thing to do. I love your layered look you posted on here. I absolutely love dark jeans and cardigans. They are my favorite thing to wear especially with a pair of boots. I also love adding a scarf to my outfit, I think they are so cute! I am hoping to buy a pair of booties, they sound cute and it is something different than boots and flats. I am really looking forward to going shopping and seeing all the new fall and winter looks out there!

  2. I love how you are doing your blog on fashion. This is something that any girl would love to read. Reading this blog makes me want to go shopping for a whole new wardrobe. I also like how you showed a picture of an outfit you were describing. A lot of people don’t have fashion sense and I feel that this blog can really help them out. My number one hobby is shopping. I can shop all day if I want to. It seems that shopping is a stress reliever. I have never had a pair of booties, but by reading your blog makes me want to go buy a pair. I love this blog and can’t wait to read more.

  3. I work at Aerie in the Northwoods mall so it will be interesting to read all your post about fashion and see if it differs at all from Aerie. But layering really is the fashion of fall! Though Summer is my favorite season and shorts and a tank with sandals will always be my favorite, layering also is super cute! I love cardigans because they keep you warm, are cute, and allow you to wear some of your favorite tank tops underneath all year around.
