For this week, I would like to introduce to you the new sweater style. Do you remember buying the long sweaters and wearing them with leggings? Well, I am talking about those sweaters. I love love love love, that whole look, it looks so christmas. But, the new thing is to not wear them with leggings, but with jeans. This style was in quite awhile ago.
The outfit I chose today is simple, but it looks very nice. I chose white pants (and no it is not a crime to wear white pants after Labor Day!) and a simple black and gray sweater. Now, this sweater is not the tight fitting type, so you do not need a belt to complete the look, go for a necklace or scarf of some sort. I chose a teal feather necklace to spice up some color. Also, I found a cami to math the color of the necklace so the color in the outfit will "pop" more. For shoes, I did not want to do black and overbear the outfit, so I chose more of a mauve.It is a very simple outfit, but I personally love the way it looks! try it out, and if anyone has any suggestions of what style they would like to see, do not be afraid to shout it out!
I love your idea for your blog! I am defiantly a country girl who wears a lot of sweat shirts and camouflage during the winter, maybe this winter by using some of your tips and start dress up a little every so often and really shock my boyfriend. I love how you show pictures of the outfits to help me really get a feel of what outfit you are describing, and how the colors contrast with each other. Also the questions you throughout the blog makes me feel ignited in a conversation with you, and desire to try on the outfit you have presented.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! Shopping is my favorite thing to do. In the winter I absolutely love to wear big sweaters with leggings and boots. I have never tried it with jeans, so I will have to try that out. I am also no liking this cold weather because I am swamped with summer clothes and no winter clothes. I need to go shopping for winter clothes badly! I love choosing a scarf or piece of jewelry to spice up my outfit with color. I cannot wait to go shopping and see all the new styles out for winter. ReplyDeleteI love this whole outfit from head to toe. When I saw the picture, I automatically fell in love with the pants and the sweater. Winter is one of my favorite times of the year. I don’t like the cold part of it though. I love wearing the cute little boots and the cute little outfit to match the boots. I could see myself wearing this out to go anywhere. This outfit is really classy. I love all of these outfit ideas that you are providing and when I go home this week I will definitely look for this when I go shopping.
ReplyDeleteI hate the cold weather too and definitely have way more summer clothes that I am going to hate to put in the back of my closet. But as a sales associate at Aerie, I am noticing a trend for such sweaters too. Only something I noticed as well are sweaters/sweatshirt. They are sort of casual like sweatshirts and may have a pocket in the front but more dressy than just a simple hoodie. These are my favorite things! It allows you to remain comfortable and still look cute. I also love love love white pants. Another thing that I have been waiting for since colder weather has started to kick in is my skinny black jeans. I have a few and love the look. Again these black jeans are not real formal but they still look professional. Sweaters are just something that will not ever go out of style.
